Oct 24th & 25th – High School Open Tournament – Lake Seminole

This is for High School anglers and eighth graders only. Participants will fish as co-anglers during t the 2-day adult Pro/Am State Championship Tournament and will compete against the other High School anglers in the event for scholarship awards (participation will determine how many places we pay and prizes that will be awarded). Anglers may check-in between 3 to 5 pm on Friday, Oct. 23rd at Sneads Park and then be present at the pre- tournament meeting which will begin at 5:30 pm, also at Sneads Park. High School anglers will also be eligible to purchase raffle tickets for door items being given out on Friday evening. Due to COVID-19, the FBN will not offer dinner or shirts for this year’s tournament.

Everyone will need to sign up online by going to the Florida B.A.S.S. Nation website and selecting the tournament labeled “HS OPEN – P/A St Champ”. The fee to sign up for this tournament is $80.00 (includes $50 entry fee, $10 Big Bass, $10 Total Boat Weight, and $10 Heaviest Sack). Entry’s to this tournament will be on a first come-first serve basis, so anglers are encouraged to sign-up ASAP. It is anticipated we will need approximately 30-High School Anglers for this event.

The event will be held on Lake Seminole from Sneads Park.

      • Tournament entry fee will be $80 (includes $50 Entry fee, $10 Big Bass, $10 Total Boat Weight, and $10 Heaviest Sack).
      • The event will be Live Stream on “Florida Bass Nation” Facebook page
      • The rules for the State Championship will be posted soon.
      • Creel limit for this event will be 5-fish per angler (boater and co-angler)
      • Minimum length: 12 inches

TOURNAMENT WATERS: Only that water open to ALL public fishing will be considered tournament waters, including but not limited to any creeks, and canals connecting to Lake Seminole. Any waters closed to public fishing will be close to this tournament’s contestants. Please observe all Idle/No Wake Zones. The basin at Seminole Lodge will be off limits. Teams cannot go beyond the locks on the Apalachicola River (Jim Woodruff Lock).

Angler’s Tournament Briefing will held Friday, October 24, 2020. This is a Mandatory Meeting. Location will be at Sneads Park.
