Oct. 23rd & 24th – Pro-Am State Championship – HIGH SCHOOL OPEN

This is for High School anglers and eighth graders only. Participants will fish as co-anglers during the 2-day adult Pro/Am State Championship Tournament and will compete against the other High School anglers in the event for scholarship awards (participation will determine how many places we pay and prizes that will be awarded). Anglers may check-in between 3 to 5 pm on Friday, Oct. 22nd at John Boy Auditorium located at 1200 Southwest C Owens Avenue, Clewiston, FL 33440.

Angler’s dinner and tournament briefing will be held on Friday, October 22, 20221, which also be held at John Boy Auditorium. We will start serving dinner at 5:15 pm and then go into the Tournament Briefing at 6:00 pm. Anglers are expected to be present at the Tournament Briefing. High School anglers will also be eligible to purchase raffle tickets for door prize items being given out on Friday evening.

Everyone will need to sign up online by going to the Florida B.A.S.S. Nation website and selecting the tournament labeled “Oct. 23rd & 24th – Pro-Am State Championship – HIGH SCHOOL OPEN”. The fee to sign up for this tournament is $100 (includes $50 Entry fee, $10 Big Bass, $10 Total Boat Weight, $10 Heaviest Sack, $10 per angler dinner, and $10 Administration Fee). Entries to this tournament will be on a first come-first serve basis, so anglers are encouraged to sign-up ASAP. It is anticipated we will need approximately 30-High School Anglers for this event.

The event will be held on Lake Okeechobee from Roland and Mary Ann’s Martin Marina, 920 E. Del Monte Avenue, Clewiston, FL 33440.

  • Tournament entry fee will be $100 (includes $50 Entry fee, $10 Big Bass, $10 Total Boat Weight, $10 Heaviest Sack, $10 per angler dinner, and $10 Administration Fee).
  • The event will be Live Stream on “Florida Bass Nation” Facebook page
  • The rules for the State Championship will be posted soon.
  • Creel limit for this event will be 5-fish per angler
  • Minimum length: 12 inches

TOURNAMENT WATERS: Only that water open to ALL public fishing will be considered tournament waters, including but not limited to any creeks, and canals connecting to Lake Okeechobee. Any waters closed to public fishing will be close to this tournament’s contestants. Please observe all Idle/No Wake Zones. The basin (inside the locks) at Roland Martin’s Marina will be off limits. Teams cannot go beyond the following locks: the Kissimmee River, the Moore Haven Lock & Dam, and the Port Mayaca Lock & Dam.


The hotels listed below are recommended for this tournament. Many of the hotels are not offering special rates for this tournament. You can let the hotels know you are with the Florida B.A.S.S. Nation and see if they have any discounted rates.
