For the second year, Lakeland Bassmasters representing Florida B.A.S.S. Nation, participated in the Central Florida Aquatic Cleanup Day, held on Saturday, September 17th at Lake Dora on the Harris Chain. Dee Adams, Jayson and Kristina Hooven supported the cause, along with members of the Lake County Water Authority, the City of Tavares and Seaplane Society and the FWC. Items recovered ranged from plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and cigarette butts to a couple of chairs and boat fenders to a bag of unopened potato chips, not expired and still crispy! We always appreciate being able to get to together with like-minded groups that want to make change happen with regards to the cleanliness of our waterways. Thank you to AFTCO for your support in our continued efforts by giving gift cards and merch to volunteers. As Mahatma Gandhi said, Be the change you want to see in the World!
