Due to the cold conditions, it was decided that we postpone the tournament takeoff to 10:00 AM with the consequent weigh in to begin at 4:45 PM. All seemed to think it was a good move. With water temps in the mid 50’s the bite was incredibly slow, as expected. The weights bore this out with the winning bag at 12.09 pounds. Of the 15 teams competing there were 3 teams that zeroed and 7 teams that brought limits to the scale. There were a total of 42 bass brought to the scale for 80.61 pounds, an average of 1.92 pounds. Congratulations to the top finishers and thanks to all that came out. There were 3 Florida BASS Nation Clubs represented, Bass Rattlers Association, Royal Palm Beach Bassmasters and Topwater Bass Assassins. As with all the Florida BASS Nation tournament, 1 spot for every 7 entries were paid at 85% of the total entry fees.
