June 6 & 7, 2026, the Florida BASS Nation conducted the 2026 Team State Championship on the Harris Chain of Lakes from Ski Beach. Even though the overall number of competing teams was lower than anticipated, the competition was not.

Awards
Day 1 saw the leaderboard with three (3) bags over twenty (20) pounds with an approximate 6-pound difference between 1st and 3rd place, (1st place Dylan Quilatan and Tommy Rust 27.94 pounds, 2nd place Tyler Nekolny and Trevor Whitman 22.59 pounds 3rd place David Frost and Al “Froggy” Kolasa 22.01 pounds) . All twenty-six (26) teams brought legal catches to the scale with the big bass of the day caught by the team of Ken Willits and Randy Montoney tipping the scale at 7.55 pounds.
Team Championship Day 1
Day 2, saw the biggest bag ever weighed in for a single day by the team of Dylan Quilatan and Tommy Rust tipping the scale at 38.50 pounds anchored by two (2) over nine (9) pounds. Day 2 saw a total of three (3) bass over nine (9) pounds for the day. In the final tally, the team of Quilatan and Rust finished with a staggering 66.44 pounds besting the 2nd place team of Nekolny and Whitman’s 42.14 pounds by 24.30 pounds and the 3rd place team of Frost and Kolasa’s 40.05 pounds by 26.39 pounds. The team of Quilatan and Rust had big bas of 9.59 pounds for the day.

Congratulations to all the twenty-six (26) teams that competed and a special congratulation to the top finishers. The Board of Directors appreciates everyone’s efforts and we look forward to the start of our reformatted Tournament Series, Team and Pro-Am, for the 2026 – 2027 season that will begin on the Harris Chain of Lakes out of Hickory Point on September 19 and 20, 2026
