Florida B.A.S.S. Nation – Southern Pro Am #1 Results

The bass were cooperating for most anglers and all but two (2) brought fish to the scale. Registrations through Fishing Chaos was simple and easy once everyone created their initial profile. The weigh in through Fishing Chaos went off without a hitch and the “Live Leaderboard” worked exactly as promised.  No one running the tournament had to handle any money and all funds were in the FBN South Region bank account within minutes of the registration. Going forward there are a few more things that will be utilized to make every tournament more efficient and streamlined.

There was only (1) bag brought to the scale in excess of twenty (20) pounds with the winning bag at 22.40 pounds. The big fish also came to play with the biggest of the tournament weighing in at 7.10 pounds along with some sixes and fives as well. We had two (2)  Clubs participating, the Bass Rattlers Association and the Palm Bay Bassmasters. The total turnout was disappointing with only twelve (12) Anglers and two (2) Co-Anglers  in the initial qualifier. The top eight (8) Anglers and the top Co-Angler have partially qualified by finishing in the top 70% and still need one (1) more tournament to fully qualify for the State Championship in August on the Harris Chain of Lakes out of Venetian Beach. The next South Region Qualifier will be on April 8, 2023 out of Okeechobee (Scott Driver Park) and will be a combined Pro Am and Bass Rattlers Association Club tournament. Registrations will open on Fishing Chaos approximately two (2) weeks prior to the tournament.
