STATE YOUTH DIRECTOR
KANDI MAYNARD
The Florida BASS Federation Nation would like to
welcome Kandi Maynard as the new State Youth Director. Her
appointment was made at the last Board of Directors meeting held
in Orlando, September 27, 2009. She has since been busy
learning the roles of State Youth Director and attending
meetings at the BASS Federation Nation National Leadership Conference.
Kandi is an original Floridian having been raised in Kissimmee. Her
and her husband, and two children, now
reside in Leesburg. Kandi's 15-years
of experience in the Osceola and Lake County school systems, along
with the passion for working with young people, and involvement in Florida
Trails Junior Bassmasters Junior Program over the past year made
her the clear candidate for the Florida Youth Director's Position. The
Board of Directors is excited about working with Kandi over the next
year and we look forward to the creativity and inspiration she has

Words will never describe our appreciation for Charlie Hays. Charlie
started the Florida BASS Federation Nation Junior Program four years
ago with the support and assistance of her husband, Bill Hays. Charlie
intends on staying involved with the FBFN Junior Program through the
Junior Club in Okeechobee, Big "O" Teen Anglers. Her abscence
at the state level will be greatly missed.
