2015 was a fantastic year for the Costa Bassmaster High School Series. We could not have done any of this without you! We want to thank you very much for your participation and support!
The 15/16 fishing season is quickly approaching us. We have launched our new registration/affiliation system that is fully online. Meaning no more paper packets you have to print out and mail in. This new system is live on the Bassmaster High School Register Page.
Simply, read through the steps and then fill out the form at the bottom and press enter or submit and it will automatically be submitted to us. We will then reach back out to you for payment of memberships. The payments will be the same as last year, a $20.00 fee that will cover both your B.A.S.S. and High School Nation memberships.
For tournaments, I know that a lot of our Youth Directors are in the process of scheduling their own state and team trail events. We are close to finalizing the High School Opens (Southern, Central, Midwest). Those will be announced before the end of this month. Please be on the lookout for these announcements on Bassmaster.com or the High School facebook page.
Again thank you for your support and here’s to a great 15/16 school year and fishing season!

The High School and Junior anglers were greeted with a gorgeous sunrise over lake Toho as we launched the 25 HS and 6 Junior teams. Who would catch them on a lake that just had a major event with some of the biggest names in fishing on it. The Southern Open was a star studded line-up and they didn’t disappoint. Chad Morganthaler took home the victory Saturday. The team of Beau Clymer(last years Champion) and Kyle Tomlinson(14 State Champion) opted to stay and practice Saturday evening instead of watching the big boys weigh in at the Bass Pro in Orlando. That would be a move that paid off with the victory on Sunday as they are quietly building a great resume. Watch out for these anglers in the near future.
We have a team in the Junior division that everyone will have to compete against in the next 5 years or so and should be worried. Bryce Goff and Roger Weigel Jr continue their dominance (2014 State Champions) on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes with a victory!!
Congrats to all the anglers that competed. It was a difficult bite and they just kept their head down and fished. We all can take lessons from them. A special thanks to B.A.S.S.(Chris Bowes and Max Leatherwood), Terry Segraves from Experience Kissimmee, Mark from Big Toho Marina, Boca Bearings, Martin and Denny Bozeman, David Driggers and especially the parents and boat Captains.
High School Bass Fishing is here to stay in Florida. B.A.S.S. and the Florida B.A.S.S. Nation are committed to the young anglers in the state. We at the FBN will be running a Tournament Trail next year just for High school anglers. Here is the information packet on how to start your own High School Club!!
