Welcome to the Florida B.A.S.S. Nation Web Site

Thank you for visiting our web site. The goal of this site is to make available as much information as possible to our members as well as provide a general understanding of the Florida B.A.S.S. Nation to new members and visitors.

Florida B.A.S.S. Nation MemberB.A.S.S. chapter members are our grass-roots fishermen dedicated to the future of bass fishing. They furnish manpower, money and equipment for lake clean-ups, promote catch-and-release, encourage community involvement, lobby for and against proposed legislation, introduce youth to fishing and even conduct tournament creel census reports.

Our nation members also have another common interest, tournament fishing. Every weekend our anglers enjoy the B.A.S.S. Nation National Tournament Trail. It is the only amateur circuit that leads to the prestigious B.A.S.S. Masters Classic where they compete against the top 40 professional fishermen each year.

On this circuit, chapter members qualify through our state for a slot on our state team. Our state team then competes against other state teams at the B.A.S.S. Central Divisional Championships. At this tournament the contenders compete as a team for the prize money, but the top individual from each state team advances to the B.A.S.S. Nation National Championship. At this National Championship tournament the contenders compete against all of the other divisional qualifiers and against the other contenders in their division. The top individual from each division advances to the BASS Masters Classic.

Today our Nation members are actively pushing for better conservation practices, introducing kids to fishing, conducting community service projects and promoting fishing throughout their communities. Because of the hard work and dedication of our nation members the future of fishing looks bright!

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - November 7 & 8, 2015

Message from B.A.S.S. Hank Weldon

Good Afternoon High School Coaches and Advisors:

2015 was a fantastic year for the Costa Bassmaster High School Series. We could not have done any of this without you! We want to thank you very much for your participation and support!

The 15/16 fishing season is quickly approaching us. We have launched our new registration/affiliation system that is fully online. Meaning no more paper packets you have to print out and mail in. This new system is live on the Bassmaster High School Register Page.

Simply, read through the steps and then fill out the form at the bottom and press enter  or submit and it will automatically be submitted to us. We will then reach back out to you for payment of memberships. The payments will be the same as last year, a $20.00 fee that will cover both your B.A.S.S. and High School Nation memberships.

For tournaments, I know that a lot of our Youth Directors are in the process of scheduling their own state and team trail events. We are close to finalizing the High School Opens (Southern, Central, Midwest). Those will be announced before the end of this month. Please be on the lookout for these announcements on Bassmaster.com or the High School facebook page.

Again thank you for your support and here’s to a great 15/16 school year and fishing season!
